About Me

Dr. Srikanta Moharana was born on 02nd July 1990 and grown up in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, India. He has received his B.Sc. Degree with 1st class (Honours) in Chemistry in 2010 from Swami Vivekananda Memorial (S.V.M) College, Jagatsinghpur under Utkal University, Odisha. He has been awarded M.Sc. Degree with 1st Class in 2012 from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela Odisha. After that he joined School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University for his M. Phil. Degree (2013) in Physical Chemistry. He joined as a Junior Research Fellow in BSR fellowship scheme (funded by University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi), School of chemistry, Sambalpur University, Odisha, India to pursue his doctoral research in 2014. During his doctoral studies, he has published twenty one papers in various international journals like Chemical Physics Letter, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Physica Status Solidi A, Polymer Bulletin, Polymer Plastic Technology & Engineering, Journal of Electronic Materials, etc, one book chapter and many more counting. He has presented his research work in many national and international conferences. His research interest includes Synthesis and Characterization of Functionalized Ceramic Polymer Nanocomposites (FCPNs) for electrical and electronic applications.

Research Fields

I have strong experience on the preparation of novel nanocomposite materials, by combination of a ferroelectric ceramic and polymeric material of suitable properties, with the best possible design structure to achieve the desirable properties in view of the requirements and end use device application. I am deeply engaged in the development of surface alternation of nanocomposite thin films and evaluated the properties of polymers with special emphasis on microstructure, dielectric and electrical properties, thermal properties and structure-property correlation. This will provide an opportunities to the scientific community to make a road map for the development of emerging material as per as end use performance in the field of device applications. So far, I have published twenty one research articles in journals of international reputes and one book chapter as my credit.
