Prof (Dr) P. Satyanarayana Raju has MS and PhD in Agronomy from University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA. Currently, he is Professor Emeritus in Department of Agronomy, M.S. Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Paralakhemundi, Odisha. He has a long and diverse teaching and research experience in reputed national and international institutes in India, USA, Brazil, Kenya, Jamaica, and Ethiopia. He worked at Forest Research Institute (FRI, Dehra Dun; Regional Centre for Southern India, Bengalore), International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT, Hyderabad), University of Nebraska (Lincoln, USA), Federal University of Paraiba (Brazil), University of Nairobi (Kenya), University of West Indies (Jamaica), Maharajah's Post-Graduate College (Vizianagaram), and Wollega University (Ethiopia). He also has varied experience in Agricultural Consultancy and Seed Production.
Prof P.S. Raju made significant research contributions in the areas of agronomy of field crops, abiotic stress resistance mechanisms in crop plants, plant mineral nutrition, seed viability, stand establishment, and Striga infestation. He taught Principles of Agronomy, Field Crops, Cultivation in Problem Soils, Introduction to Soils, Plant Physiology, Stress Physiology, Mineral Nutrition of Plants, Agricultural Biotechnology, and Seed Technology at under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
