Overview

Dr. Sahoo was graduated from Salipur College under Utkal University, Odisha in Chemistry and earned his M.Sc. in Applied Organic Chemistry specialization from the Berhampur University, Odisha.  He joined as Junior Research Fellow at the IIT Madras and then later joined as a senior project assistant in the Chembiotek Research Int. Pvt. Ltd. Pune. After gaining sixteen months of industrial experiences, he joined at the Jacobos University Bremen, Germany (formerly known as International University of Bremen, Germany) for the Nanomolecular Science graduate program. After spending a semester there he moved to Prof. Dr. Godt`s laboratory, University of Bielefeld, Germany and completed his doctoral studies in interdisciplinary fields of organic and physical organic chemistry.

 Dr. Sahoo pursued six years of postdoctoral studies in the field of supramolecular chemistry, bioorganic chemistry and organic nano-materials in different international institutions e.g. University of Bielefeld, Germany; University of Geneva, Switzerland; Washington State University Pullman, USA, and IISER Bhopal, India. He joined the Department of Chemistry, CUTM, Odisha in Feb. 2016 and his current research of interest is the development of NIR fluorescent dyes for bioimaging and solar cell application and non-natural amino acid based cell penetrating peptides.
